Gail Page Garrell, age 79, of Whiteville, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, September 22, 2025. Gail was born in Whiteville on November 4, 1945 to the late John Franklin Garrell and Mary Melvin Garrell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter; Shannon Renee Dew, two sisters; Mary Jane G. Sessions and Patricia G. Gibbs and two brothers; John Franklin Garrell Jr. and Harry Garrell.

Gail was a caregiver at heart. Not only being a caregiver for her mother, aunt and uncle, but also for several others in the area over the years. In addition to caring for people, she also was a champion of stray dogs and cats and was very active with the Humane Society. Gail enjoyed traveling with her favorite destination being the beach. She was a member of Peace Methodist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her son; Terry Alfred Chandler (Melissa) of Whiteville, grandson; Weston Chandler (Brooke) of Clarendon, and two special friends; Benny Nye of Lake Waccamaw and Charlie Schmaus of Whiteville.

A private graveside was held for Gail at Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.
