On November 13, 2024 at SMRMC in McComb, Mississippi, Ms. Gail Bolian Gisclair passed from her earthly life to her new home in heaven. For many years, she had suffered from numerous ailments, but recently, the cumulative effect of these ailments became too great to overcome.
Gail was born on August 21, 1940 in Sunflower County, Mississippi. She attended grade school in Greenwood, Mississippi and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1959. She then attended Delta State University and graduated in 1963 with a B.A. in English. She became an English teacher, first in Greenwood, then in Jackson, and finally in McComb. Her teaching career spanned a period of almost forty years.
Her retirement years were spent in creating gardens of multitudinous plants and flowers. In the spring, her yard became a showcase of beautifully-colored flora.
Gail was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Willie Bolian, and by her husband, Nob Gisclair. She leaves a brother and sister-in-law, William and Eloise Bolian, a nephew, Bo Bolian (Stacie), and a niece, Stephanie Bethea (Mike). She also leaves many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 16 at 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery in Summit. Dr. David Millican will officate. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home in McComb is in charge of the arrangements.
