Bert Cockerham Obituary
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until services at 1:00 PM. Graveside services will follow in Hollywood cemetery. Rev. Mike Morris will officiate. Hartman Jones Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Bert was a member of Central Baptist Church in McComb and later attended Tangipahoa Baptist Church. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. Bert worked as a welder for the railroad for many years. He enjoyed deer hunting and wood working, along with spending time gardening. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Bert was born on May 10, 1939, in Summit, MS to Bert Cockerham, Sr. and Bertha Ellen Vanmatre Cockerham.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Suzanne Hays Cockerham, a brother, and three sisters.
He is survived by a daughter Roxanne Madison (Billy) of Zachary, LA, grandchildren Blayre Madison and Cole Madison, brother Billy Cockerham of Greenwell Springs, LA and a sister Janice Pitts (William) of Lucedale, MS.
