Jimmie J. Gisclair, 94, a native and resident of Cut Off passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025.

 Visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Galliano, on Monday, January 27th from 9:00 am until service time. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial following at Cheramie Cemetery. 

Jimmie is survived by his children; Jacqueline “Jackie” G. Bourgeois (Randy), Brenda G. Aucoin (Junior), and Timmy Gisclair (Donna), daughter-in-law Debbie D. Gisclair, brothers; Wiley (Barbara) Gisclair “Bucket”, sister; Debra (Charles) Jerstad “Cricket”, grandchildren; Joshua Bourgeois, Amie A. Smith, Kerry Aucoin Jr., Tiffany G. Dardar, Kelly G. Gaudet, Jimmie Gisclair, and Leon Gisclair, 11 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren and 1 on the way. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Rena Mae G. Gisclair; son; Andy Gisclair, son-in-law; Kerry Aucoin Sr., parents; Leon Jean Michel and Mozana Cantrelle Gisclair, and brother; Raleigh Gisclair, sister; Doris “Toot” Cheramie, godchild; Millie Jo Gisclair.

 He was an avid fisherman his whole life until his death. He loved hunting, crabbing, and being in his boat. He loved being outdoors, and in his later years loved gardening. 

 The family would like to give a special thanks to Lady of the Sea Hospital medical staff and Lady of the Sea Home Health staff for taking great care of Jimmie.
