Gail Gosha-Winkler Obituary
Gail D. Gosha-Winkler, a cherished soul who graced this world with her presence, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, in Red Bank. Born on June 28, 1962, in Newark where she was also raised and has been a life-long resident of Keansburg. Gail was a beacon of light to all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication.
Gail's journey began as the treasured daughter of the late William and Dolores Gosha. Her vibrant spirit and warm heart would eventually lead her to the love of her life, Frank "Winky" Winkler of Keansburg. Their union was one of true partnership and mutual admiration, lasting a remarkable 40 years. Together, they built a life filled with joy and cherished memories.
A dedicated mother, Gail's world revolved around her children. She is survived by her sons, Christopher and his wife Michelle Gosha of Middletown, Zachary Winkler of Keansburg, and her daughter, Samantha Winkler of Keansburg. Gail's role as a grandmother was one she embraced with every fiber of her being, showering her grandchildren, Avalynn and Thomas Gosha, with boundless love and affection.
Gail's family circle extended to her siblings, who will remember her fondly and miss her deeply. She leaves behind her brothers, David and his wife Peggi Gosha of Middletown, William and his wife Pat Gosha of Florida, and her sisters, Sharon and Harlan Cooper of Connecticut and Kathy and Dave Eckert of Aberdeen. Her nieces, nephews, and extended family members are a testament to the wide-reaching impact Gail had on those around her.
Professionally, Gail was a respected Underwriter at Prudential Insurance, where her keen eye for detail and her ability to connect with clients set her apart.
Gail's commitment to her community was evident in her involvement with the St. Ann's PTA. Not only did she serve with dedication, but she also helped initiate the lunch program at St. Ann's School.
Above all, Gail's love for her family was the main thing. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and created a home filled with laughter, support, and unconditional love.
Her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her, and her spirit will continue to inspire us all.
We would like to take the time to say Thank You to all the great people at Riverview ER and 3East, also the caring people at RCCA with provided compassion and care in her battle.
Special thanks to Tanner for doing your hospital thing for Gail. To Mary Ella for staying a friend till the end.
Lastly to my brother Bob Rhoads for always being there – No Words.
Gail's request was for no services and to be privately cremated. We may have a celebration or Mass at a later date.
