Edward A. Weiss Jr., known affectionately as Eddie to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, in Millstone Twp, NJ. Born on August 14, 1970, in Perth Amboy, NJ, Eddie's zest for life, love for the outdoors, and the joy he brought to others defined his fifty-five years.

Eddie was the cherished son of the late Edward Sr. and Marie C. (Gilhooley) Weiss. His presence will be deeply missed by his loving brother, John C. Weiss of Phillipsburg, NJ, his devoted sisters Anne (Gary) Raphael of Flagler Beach, FL, and Karen (Jack) Mullins of Belford, NJ. Eddie's spirit will forever be a beacon of light for his nieces: Kaitlyn Ross (his Katie-girl), Julie and Tracey Mullins, as well as Katie's Dad, Michael Ross (who was like a brother to him) and extended family and too many friends to count, whose lives were touched by his humor, warmth and kindness.

Eddie's love for music was palpable, especially his passion for the Grateful Dead. His knowledge of their songs and concerts was encyclopedic. He held a candlelight vigil when Jerry passed away. Eddie's enthusiasm wasn't limited to music alone; he was also a fan of the Tennessee Titans, cheering them on with the same fervor he lived his life.

One could say Eddie's truest love was the natural world. He found solace and joy in the beauty of the outdoors, whether he was taking a walk in the woods, observing wildlife, or simply sitting under the sun. Eddie believed in the healing power of nature and all that it offers, and he shared this belief with everyone he met. His compassion extended to all creatures, and he was known for his gentle nature & kindness to animals, always ready with a treat or a gentle pat.

To have known him was to know a man who lived authentically, loved unreservedly, and embraced each moment with an open heart. His family & faith meant so much to him. His legacy is one of laughter, music, and the gentle reminder to appreciate the simple things in life.

As we bid farewell to Eddie, we celebrate the life of a man who was a friend, a confidant, a storyteller, and a caretaker. His memory will continue to inspire us to live fully, to cherish our connections with nature, and to dance to the rhythm of our own lives. Though he has left the physical world, Eddie's spirit will continue to guide and comfort us like a lighthouse guiding ships through a stormy night. May the memories of Eddie's unique and free spirit bring comfort to all who knew him. Know that all his worries and troubles are now just a faded memory.

Keeping with his wishes he will be privately cremated and celebrated by his family in a way that Eddie would love.
