Gail Suzanne Hall (nee Stonick), age 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 8, 2024.

Gail was born in Chicago, IL on December 1, 1945. Gail worked in a variety of positions, finally retiring from High School District 214 after many years. Gail had an adventuresome spirit: she grew up riding horses with family friends and shared fond memories of being an only child to her parents. As an adult, she rode roller coasters and was always willing to take a turn riding on jet-skis or getting towed on a tube behind a boat. Tomahawk, Wisconsin was her happy place and snowmobiling with large groups of the Hall family were some of her favorite events. Gail was also an artistic spirit: she created beautiful ceramic dolls in her own kiln and could often be found sewing, crafting, and reading. Her family looked forward to “Grandma’s Cookies” each Christmas as she was a wonderful cook and baker. Her grandkids promise to carry on the tradition of her raspberry jelly cookies. Gail loved her coffee first thing in the morning, a great steak, a good cheeseburger, and a vodka gimlet. She never met a donut or a piece of cake that she didn’t like.

Gail is survived by her loving sons, Steven (Tricia) Hall and Brian (Rebecca) Hall; her beloved grandchildren Maggie, Shane, Blake and Luke. She was an aunt and great-aunt to many.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 39 years, John Hall. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank Stonick and Gunhild Stonick.

A visitation for Gail will be held from 9am until the time of service at 1pm on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, IL. A burial service will be held at 10am the following morning at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery in Palatine, IL.
