Gail Lieberson Obituary
Gail Barbara Lieberson, daughter of Charlie and Mae Kellerman, passed away on December 6, 2024, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Born on April 19, 1940, in Boston, Gail was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who touched the lives of many with her warmth and humor.
Gail was married to the late Dr. Alan Lieberson from 1964-1975. Gail is survived by her two children, Eric and Dara, and her cherished grandchildren, Larissa, Keanan, Natalie, and Devin. She was predeceased by her beloved brother, Richard Kellerman, and his son, Alyn. Gail held a special place in her heart for Richard's surviving children, Scott and Elizabeth. She also deeply loved and cared for her numerous pets.
Gail devoted her career to teaching special education in Westport and Weston and as a reading specialist at the University School in Bridgeport. She was an advocate for women's rights and animal welfare, embodying a spirit of compassion and dedication.
An informal gathering to celebrate Gail's life will be held at The Watermark, at 3030 Park Avenue in Bridgeport, on Sunday, December 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Gail will be remembered for her love of playing bridge, her infectious laughter, and her dedication to making the world a better place. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to an animal protection agency or shelter.

My deepest condolences to Gail's family.
I met Gail in 2017 while working where she resided. She & I immediately connected. We had many conversations and shared much of our feelings and ideas with each other. I still think of Gail often and I'm sure I always will. I appreciate the knowledge, advice & laughter! Rest in peace my friend!

Today's memorial was a lovely reflection of Gail's personality: her caring, sense of humor, her dedication to work, friends and family, and her love of animals. It was wonderful hearing remembrances from all her family members, as well as from friends and staff from The Watermark.
Margaret Zowine expressed the sentiments felt by all her co-workers at The University School. Gail was much admired there and her students knew the effort she put in to helping them with both academics and after school opportunities. She positively impacted everyone she interacted with, and she will be missed.

Dara and family, words cannot express the joy your mom and grandmother brought to my life. Her laugh was contagious not to mention her wit instilled laughter in me. I loved her love for animals and courageous nature to save them all. She was a friend and confident in the few times we could get together and share a bite to eat. Gail was a pleasure to work with at The University School where first met and she welcomed me with open arms. Gail,along with her much -loved cat kalli,was my former next door neighbor at the Watermark. She always had a warm smile and a pleasant word whenever we met.Not only did Gail love to play bridge, but also keeping up with the latest novels was another
favorite pursuit.Her
Sunny smile and her sincerity and kindness were stand out qualities. we shared a love of white clam pizza and many times she would bring one home from Vazzy´s in Monroe.Gail was a regular at our Saturday night table in the dining room...if she felt well and the menu appealed.She was. a special lady and I was privileged to know her.
