Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors- Milford on Jan. 27, 2026.
Gail Elizabeth Lowe, age 88, of White Lake, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026.

Gail was born on July 14, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan, and was lovingly raised by her parents, Arnold and Faye Haner. She grew up in Milford alongside her beloved sister, Elaine, and graduated from Milford High School in 1955.

Music was the great calling of Gail's life. For more than 60 years, she dedicated herself to teaching piano and organ, sharing her talent and passion with countless students. She provided private lessons in homes and studios throughout the area, including many years at Cedarcrest School of Music in White Lake. Through her teaching, Gail touched generations of lives and leaves behind a lasting musical legacy.

Outside of music, Gail found joy in caring for her home and spending cherished time with her family and dear friends. She delighted in gathering for birthdays, holidays, and celebrations that created memories her loved ones will forever treasure. Gail, who was raised attending the Lutheran church lived her faith through her kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit. As a young adult, Gail played the piano for services at Christ Lutheran Church in Milford.

Gail was married to her first husband Bud Dennis in 1960. Prior to their marriage, Gail worked for Bud who was the proprietor of the old Milford Theater on Main Street. Together they operated the theater until it was sold in the early 1970's. Gail married her second husband Steve Lowe in 1985. Steve passed in 2017.

Gail is survived by her beloved son, Thomas Dennis; her loving grandchildren, Eric (Amber) Dennis, Emma Faye, Evan Dennis (Alison Szymanski), and Ella Dennis; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Mabel Henry, Benson, and Benjamin. She is also fondly remembered by her dear niece, Cindy Haner-Velzen (husband Steve and son, Ian Velzen-Haner).

She was preceded in death by her sister, Elaine Heater, and her parents, Arnold and Faye Haner.

Visitation will take place on Friday, January 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 12:30 p.m. A procession will follow to Oak Grove Cemetery, where committal prayers and burial will take place.
