Gail Cavitt Modisette

Funeral services for Gail Cavitt Modisette, 82, of Ore City, Texas, will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 23, 2025, at First Baptist Church Ore City with Brother Jeff Byrd officiating. Interment to follow at Coffeeville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm at the church prior to the service. Arrangements are under the direction of McWhorter Funeral Home.
Gail was born on October 27, 1942, in Gilmer, Texas to W. C. and Bessie Mae Murrell Cavitt and passed from this life on March 21, 2025, in Longview, Texas.
Gail was a thoughtful and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a devoted follower of Christ and longtime member of First Baptist Church Ore City. Gail loved and treasured her pets and enjoyed dancing every Saturday night. Her other interests included hanging out with friends, working in her flower beds, going to concerts, and traveling to new places.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Traci Buckner (Wayne); grandchildren, Chance Buckner (Megan), Trace Buckner; and great-grandson, Levi Buckner. Other family include son, Todd Turner, Whittney Turner, and Brittanie Coppedge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, W. C. and Bessie Mae Cavitt.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Buckner, Chance Buckner, Trace Buckner, John Walters, Dale Fails, and Kenneth Carroll.
