Memorial Service for Kelvin Ray Modisette will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Brownfield Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating.
Kelvin was born on March 28, 1968, in Lubbock, TX, to Levi and Bobbie (Crain) Modisette. He passed away on July 12, 2025, at the age of 57. Kelvin was born and raised here in Brownfield. After graduating from high school, he moved to Dallas where he cleared freight through US Customs for 15 years. Life then led him to Chattanooga, TN, where he worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of TN for 10 years. He then decided to move back home to Brownfield, where he helped cook and deliver meals at the Brownfield Senior Center since 2018.
Kelvin was also a valued member of the staff at Brownfield Funeral Home. He served many families in the evenings and on weekends in his role as Visitation Attendant. Kelvin's generous nature shone through in every meal he prepared and in the countless ways he cared for his family and community. He spent his spare time taking care of family members and friends, and they, along with his sweet dog, Candy, will greatly miss his loving presence.
Kelvin was preceded in death by his dad, Levi Modisette; and grandparents, Samuel and Adina Modisette and Robert and Lula "Lavelle" Crain. He is survived by his mom, "Wanda" Bobbie Modisette Sines; sister, Valerie Cowan; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
