Robert Vinson Cravey

Robert Vinson Cravey Jr., known affectionately as Bob by his friends and loved ones, passed away on March 17, 2026, in Kyle, Texas, at the age of 67. Born on January 27, 1959, in Brownfield, Texas, Bob was a man whose life was characterized by his loving nature, selflessness, and unwavering faith.

Bob's formative years were spent in Sinton, Texas, where he attended Sinton High School. His capacity for learning and his versatile skills would later define his professional life. Bob was a man who could turn his hand to anything, a true jack of all trades and master of all. He concluded his varied career as a dedicated Salesman at Inland Trucking, where his hard work and commitment left a lasting impression on his colleagues and clients alike.

Family was the cornerstone of Bob's life. He was a devoted husband to his loving wife of 22 years, Rosie Payne, and a cherished father to Melanie Reyes, Amber Brubaker, and Raeven Cravey. He also embraced his role as a stepfather to Chris Lopez (Hope Scogin), Ashley Garcia (Jacob), and Angela Conrad (Derek). His capacity for love extended to his numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, who will remember him as a guiding light and a source of endless support.

Bob was the beloved son of Shirley Valderrama (Ernest) and the late Robert V. Cravey, Sr. He shared a special bond with his siblings Cindy Arroyo (Harry) and Sarah Cravey, brother Paul Cravey (Linda), and was a guiding figure for his half-brothers Tim Valderrama, Bryant Cravey (Shawnace), and Ladd Cravey (Melissa), along with his half-sisters Candace Madrid (Robert) and Stephanie Valderrama.

Outside of his family and work, Bob was an active member of the Kyle Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. His faith was a testament to his character, and he lived his beliefs through acts of kindness and community involvement. Bob's love for travel, reading, and the simple pleasure of spending time with his family were sources of immense joy and fulfillment in his life.
