Gail Elaine Murray passed away on August 20, 2025 in Belleville, Michigan. Born on February 25, 1941 to the late Clarence and Pauline Little. Gail was an incredible and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great- great grandmother and friend. She was dedicated to her family and friends. Her dedication was reflected in her marriage to David Murray of 66 years. Gail and David had a marriage that stood the test of time. Her dedication showed in her unconditional love, caring and kindness while raising her 6 children, Jaunita (Robert) Schmitt, Donald Murray, Steven Murray, Jeana (Keith) Penski, Jimmy (Kim) Murray and Michael (Sarah) Murray, which she called her birds. She was also dedicated and supportive to her 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She strived for love and peace within her family. She worried for others because of this innate caring and kindness. She was feisty and could speak her mind. She also cooked a mean lasagna and yummy chicken and dumplings. She loved spending time with her family, she enjoyed camping, spending time in northern Michigan, taking car rides with her husband and others who wanted to tag along, she loved listening to Bluegrass music and classic country music, especially Willy Nelson.
A devoted stay-at-home mom, she poured her heart into raising her family with love, patience, and faith. Her home was a place of warmth, comfort, and care, where she taught her children the values that shaped their lives. Her quiet strength and steady presence will be deeply missed. She was a cook for 2 separate respite centers for individuals with special needs.
A woman of deep faith, she faced life with quiet strength and a trusting heart. Her love for God shaped how she lived and how she loved others.
Gail's love, faith, and quiet strength touched everyone who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and all whose lives she gently shaped. She will be remembered always with love, gratitude, and peace.
