Gail Paintin Obituary

Ed proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1970 until his retirement in 1990. During his 20 years of service, he traveled the world, including time spent during the Vietnam War. His commitment and excellence were recognized through numerous awards and commendations, including the National Defense Service Medal, Navy Expeditionary Medal, Battle "E" Award, Meritorious Unit Commendation, and Coast Guard (SOS) Ribbon.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents Edward Guy and Mary Alice Paintin, as well as his beloved wife Annie and daughter Christina.
He leaves behind his children: Scott Paintin, Alma Yamasta and her husband David, Edward Paintin, Amer Larimer, and Steven Paintin. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren-Matthew, Mitchell, Josh, Caleb, Emily, Jacob, Grant, Madelyn, Grace, Carter, Conrad, Amber, Ahvana, Logan, and Caitlin-along with 10 great-grandchildren. Ed is also survived by his siblings: Douglas Paintin, Luella Hershberger, Linda Blancett and her husband John, Roger Paintin, Earl Paintin, Valarie Rogers, and Sam Paintin, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ed will be remembered as a lighthearted, kind, and generous man who loved his family and went above and beyond to help others as much as possible.
Funeral arrangements: Private viewing for immediate family only.
Service will be handled by Faith Chapel Funeral Home located at 100 Beverly Pkwy, Pensacola, FL 32505 on Wednesday 8/27/2025 at 9:30am. There will be an escorted procession from the funeral home to Barrancas Veterans Cemetery with a military honors ceremony beginning at 10am followed by a family lead service at 10:15am and ending at 10:30 where all will be escorted out of the cemetery.
