Ms. Gail Wiley

Ms. Gail K. Wiley was born on October 31, 1953 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was born to the parents of James and Sarah Mae Wiley.
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt made her heavenly transition from McLaren Bay Region Hospital in Bay City, Michigan on Tuesday April 16, 2024 at the age of 70 years.
Ms. Gail K. Wiley attended Saginaw Public Schools and graduated after attending Bridgeport Spaulding Schools. She worked for the Saginaw Board of Education for ten years. Throughout those ten years, Gail met many children whom she loved and cherished. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends playing Spades, Deuces, Tunk, Bingo and Pokeno. Whenever there was music playing you could find her dancing with her nieces and nephews on the dance floor or in her chair.
Gail leaves to cherish her memory, six children, Daphine (Ivory) Burton, Evett (Glynn) Wiley, Arp (Gail) Wiley, Demetric (Stephanie) Wiley, Dorita (Jessie) England and Carnesha (La'Bria) Wiley all of Saginaw; two step-children, Reginald and Ashaki Porterfield both of Saginaw; 12 grandchildren, Ikiesha, Janella and Dominique Wiley, Ivory Burton, Jr., Jermise Wiley, Ivorion Burton, Antonette Thomas, Ar'Triana Wiley, Jessica England Wiley, Isaiah Burton, Demetric Wiley, Jr. and Jayla England; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Sparks and Wanda Wiley; nieces, including special nieces, Sherenia Parks and Janella Wiley; nephews, Deon, Michael, Lawrence Wiley, Jermain and Kevius Cooper and Dirk Evans; favorite cousins, Marilyn Sawyer, Vanessa Davenport, Mary Brown, Michelle Cochran-Warner; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Denise Camel, James Willie McKinley, Arp Brown, Ronnie Boggs, Deborah Burton, Shirley McKinley, Mary Lane, Bonnie, Zandra Brown, Gwendolyn Simms, Marlena Ruiz and Wanda Fay Reynolds.
Ms. Wiley was preceded in death by parents James and Sarah Mae Wiley; three brothers, Anthony Wiley, James G. Wiley and Cornell Wiley; three sisters, Gloria Jean Wiley, twins' Brenda Kaye and Linda Faye; step-daughter, Tammy Porterfield; granddaughter, Kairi Nicole Lewis and friend, Delphine Cooper.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Christ Image Community Church, 5501 Gratiot Rd, Saginaw, MI 48638. Pastor Eugene will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will take place from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
