Gaile Kelty, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2025, at St. Mary's Nursing Home in Manitowoc, surrounded by friends and her beloved dog Agnes.

The former Gaile Jordan was born on May 25, 1938, in West Virginia, a daughter of the late Charles P. and Marjorie (Deaner) Jordan. On June 23, 1957, Gaile was married to Oakley "Oak" C. Kelty in the First Presbyterian Church in Fontana, California. They had two sons, Jeffrey and Mark, and were married for 64 years prior to Oak's passing on June 21, 2021. She and Oak moved to Wisconsin and made their home in Manitowoc. Gaile was an active member of the Manitowoc community and a member of the Lutheran church. She was a transcriptionist at Holy Family Hospital for many years. Following retirement, she continued to work as a transcriptionist from her home. Gaile was an avid knitter and a member of the local knitting group. She will be missed by everyone who knows her.

Gaile is survived by her two sons: Jeffrey (Linda) and Mark (Lisa); three sisters: Anne, Joyce, and Jo, all of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Marjorie Jordan; husband: Oakley "Oak" C. Kelty.

Cremation has taken place at the All-Care Cremation Center. Per Gaile's wishes, no services are being held.
