Gale Rose (Aurelio) Butterworth, 74, of Weymouth, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025, at South Shore Hospital.
Born on May 4, 1951, to the late Louis Aurelio and Rose "Bebe" Aurelio (Verbal), Gale spent her life surrounded by the love of her family. Her greatest joy was found in simple pleasures: the calming sunshine at the beach, the soulful sounds of R&B music, and, above all, the time spent with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Allen Butterworth; her loving children, Brian Butterworth, and Nicole Cronin and her husband Bill Cook; her two grandchildren, Cordelia Rose Cook and Zander James Cook; her sisters, Louise Carbone and her husband Al, Janine, and Laurie Rhodes and her husband Kevin, and her brothers, Jeffery Aurelio and his wife Gina, Richard Aurelio and his wife Tammy, and Louis Jr. She is also survived by her two childhood friends, Judi and Pat. Gale's memory will be forever cherished as a beacon of unconditional love and kindness.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. The family will hold a private celebration of her life.
