Steve went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, July 26, 2023 while at home, receiving hospice care.
Steve was a long-time employee at PPG and had the opportunity to enjoy a few years of retirement, before his health started to decline.
Steve leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories with his wife of 54 years, Kathy Tessneer; 3 daughters, Melinda "Mendy" Tessneer-Stiehler and her husband, Greg Stiehler, Rebecca Tessneer (deceased) and Jackie Tessneer (deceased); 3 grandchildren, Michael Stephen Bailes, Jacob Davidson and Hazel Tessneer-Stiehler/ 4 great-grandchildren, Stephanie Bailes, Hazel Bailes, Liam Baugher and Riley Davidson; 2 brothers, Michael Tessneer and Gary Tessneer; 3 sisters, Carol Campbell, Judy Gorman and Linda Whitaker; 3 brother-in-laws, Wayne Ledford, Larry Ledford (deceased) and Jake Ledford; 2 sister-in-laws, Louise McCraw (deceased), Harriette Nazelrod; parents, Charles Leonard Tessneer and Betty Irene Tessneer (both deceased); nephews, nieces and many beloved friends.
Steve's family will honor him by sprinkling some of his ashes in the creek behind the Edge Water Hotel, up in Gatlinburg, TN.
He enjoyed singing, playing his guitar and playing basketball. He loved his church, family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a man of God and will remain forever in our hearts.
