Elaine Tessneer

SHELBY: Elaine Morrow Tessneer, 70, died Thursday, April 6, 2023 at her home. Born in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of Clyde and Stella Brandle Morrow. Elaine graduated from Crest High School and was a member of Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church. She loved the Cleveland County Fair, trips to Florida, traveling with her family's BBQ team, Mountain Magic Country BBQ, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She operated A-Mora Pizza and Subs for 18 years and later retired in 2022 from GWU dining services. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shelia Morrow. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Tommy Tessneer; sons, Thomas Tessneer and wife Keesha and Jon Tessneer and wife Haley England; daughter, Shelia Towery and husband Robby; brother, David Morrow and wife Hazel Thrift-Morrow, all of Shelby; grandchildren, Ashlee and husband Cooper, Katelyn and husband Dylan, Austin and wife Madison, Maddie and husband Dean, Delaney, Elizabeth, Caroline, Collin, Graham, Lainey, Bella, Bentley, Brody, Bradley and Charlie; great-grandchildren; Aubree, Raegan, Keegan and Stella; special cousins, Doris, Kaye and Dale Ramsey; and special niece, Claudia Vaughn. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Sulphur Springs U.M.C. with the Rev. Julie Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends 12:30-2:00 P.M., prior to the service, at the church. Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Sulphur Springs U.M.C. or Hospice of Cleveland County
