Gardiner W. Powell

Gardiner W. Powell, 94, of Rogers, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, in Lowell. He was born June 4, 1931, in Ithaca, New York, to Whiton Gardiner Powell and Jeannette Powell. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betsy Powell, to whom he was married for 67 years. Gardiner graduated from Cornell University, where he was a Chimes Master and served in the ROTC and the United States Army. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his Wife, Family, and huskies, Boris and Natasha. Survivors include two siblings, Andy Powell and wife Jeannne of New Hampshire, and Anne Powell of Vermont. Three children, Steven and wife Erica of Arkansas, Dave and wife Kim of Iowa and Alan and wife Cristy of Colorado; six grandchildren, Jesse and wife Caroline of Texas, Melissa and husband James of Arkansas, Nicole and husband Benjamin of Illinois, Carson Powell of Texas, Josh and wife Becca of Colorado and Jessica and husband Jason of Colorado and seven great-grandchildren!
