Garfield Bohanna was born to Garfield Bohanna and Katie Bohanna March 5,1929 in Carbondale West Virginia. He gained his wings November 14, 2025 at the age of 96.
Garfield went to school until his mother became very ill and he stepped up to take care of her until she departed. Garfield worked as a coal miner for many years and retired from the UMWA. He was a former member of Carbondale Baptist Church for many years. He was a current member of Grace Apostolic church where he was baptized in Jesus name and received the holy ghost. His two favorite songs were I Shall Not Be Moved and Lord I'm Glad To Be In Your Service One More Time.
Garfield is preceded in death by his parents Garfield and Katie Bohanna, his beautiful wife Helen Bohanna who was also holy ghost filled and fire baptized, all of his siblings, his daughter Joan Bohanna Coping, daughter Gwendolyn Anderson and son George Palmer.
Garfield also known as daddy Bo, pawpaw, grandad, and Busta is survived by his children Jerry(Juanika) Bohanna, Sherry Bohanna, Donald Bohanna, Sandra Bohanna, Ann(Jerry) Lawrence, Joyce(Jesse) Bratchet, Garfield Bohanna, David(Sally) Bohanna, Carol(Emory) Taylor, Rebia Kendry, Traci Melton and Jerome Anderson, His grandbaby Chaneka Williams and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones and friends.
May his legacy continue to live on and expand in Jesus name.
