Garnet Brown Plummer

Garnet Brown Plummer, 93, of Grayson, KY, went to be with her Lord on Friday, February 6, 2026, at her daughter's residence. She was born October 19, 1932, in Grayson, a daughter of the late Lewis and Etta Smith Brown. Garnet retired from the Agricultural Stabilization Conservation Service after 39 years of dedicated service. She was of the Baptist faith and faithfully attended church whenever her health allowed. Garnet was known as a wonderful country cook, a talented seamstress who lovingly made many articles of clothing, and above all, a devoted wife and mother who cherished her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Elwood Plummer; brothers, Harlan (Lois) Brown and Paul (Joan) Brown; sister, Wanda (Robert) Poppleton; and brother-in-law, Larry Miller. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Plummer of Ashland; sisters, June (Bill) Robinson of Alexandria, KY, and Edna Miller of Ashland; brother, Roy (Sally) Brown of Iron Hill; and a host of other family members and friends who will miss her greatly.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Malone Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Avenue, Ashland, KY 41101. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Gene Franklin Brown, Neal Miller, Michael Robinson, Sam Plummer, and Jake Hall.
