Garold A. Miller, age 73, of McCook, Nebraska, went to be with his Lord and family on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, while he was living at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg, Nebraska. Garold was one of 7 children born to Albert & Nadine (Merklin) Miller in St. Francis, Kansas.
In 1971, Garold joined the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force he was stationed in Germany, Japan, England, New York, and Virginia. After 20 years of service, he was honorably discharged as a TSGT, vehicle equipment supervisor in 1991. After he moved back to McCook, he went to work at Tyson in Lexington, Nebraska until he retired.
Garold was preceded in death by his mom, his dad, brother Ronald, nieces Anna Garcia and Stephanie Gonzales, and nephew Jerry Miller.
Garold is survived by his daughter Nadine Hirst and his grandchildren, David and Sophie, all of England. Sisters, Bonita (Al) Garcia, Sherry (Steve) Gonzales, all of McCook, his brothers Wynn (Dyanna) Miller, Chester Miller, all of Cambridge, Nebraska, Tim and Linda Miller of Flagstaff, Arizona, and many nieces and nephews.
Garold was very proud of his military service, so in lieu of flowers or memorials he would ask everyone for their prayers for our men and women now serving and for all our veterans, and to thank them for their service.
