Garry Guy Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Louis A DiGiacomo Funeral Home, Inc. on Aug. 23, 2024.
GARRY GARRETT GUY, SR., age 62, passed away suddenly on August 17, 2024. Devoted husband to Valencia Ann Watson. Loving father to Garry Garrett Guy, Jr., (Kristen Craig Guy), Julian Alexander Watson, and Garrett Alexander Watson. Beloved grandfather to Jordan Taylor Guy, Andreaz Adonis Watson, and Sydney Rae Guy. Dear brother to Joyce Washington, William Eric Guy (Geneva Walker Guy), Tyrone Henry Guy (Madidah M. Guy), and the late Michael Guy and Timothy Guy. Garry is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Garry was predeceased by his parents, the late William Henry Guy and Nancy Carol Brown Guy.
"To my husband of 17 years, my life, heart and our home will be forever empty without you. I know you are in a much better place in God's hands, and that brings me comfort and peace.
Missing You
A million times I miss you
A million times I will cry
If love alone could have saved you,
You would have never died.
In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still,
In my heart you hold a place
No other one can fill.
The Golden Gates stood open
God saw you needed a rest.
He gently took you to a life of Peace and Happiness.
Love always, Valencia."
Garry Jr. recalls, "My father was a kind man. One who truly cared about everyone who had an impact on his life. He was a source of knowledge, always willing to give genuine guidance based on his life experiences. We often talked about sports, cars, home improvement projects, my children and my love for travel. He was always fascinated and excited to hear about each story I told him within each adventure. He was proud of everything I'd accomplished in the early stages of my adult life and I'll miss having his shoulder to lean on when I simply want to have a conversation about life.
My father was loved dearly by his entire family and will be deeply missed. I ask of everyone who knew him, to think of all the positive moments and interactions you've had with him throughout his stages of life and cherish them as his spirit lives on forever. May he forever rest in peace. Love always, his son, Garry Guy Jr. "
Garrett Alexander Watson, Garry's step son, adds: "Mr. Garry you were a phenomenal step father. I appreciate you stepping up in raising me, and all of the man to man conversations we had during my rough teenage - and - early years into adulthood.
I'm appreciative of being able to have been back up to Philadelphia to see you last month as well, when you were in such good spirits.
I wish you the safest passage into the next life and ask you to watch over the rest of our family. "
