Garry Lee Phipps, 82, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 15, 2025 at his home in Oostburg.
Garry was born October 4, 1943 in St. James, MN, the son of Warren and Lorinda (Schwanke) Phipps. He was a 1961 graduate of Elgin-Millville High School in Elgin, MN and later studied Business at Des Moines.
From 1962-1966, Garry proudly served his country in the US Marines during Vietnam.
On Apri 14, 1970, he was united in marriage with Paula Whorton in Rochester MN. The couple celebrated 52 years together before her passing in 2022.
From 1975-2018, Garry was an insurance agent at American Family Insurance in Mequon.
Garry enjoyed reading, woodworking, time on his computer, fixing things around the house, and spending time at the Sheboygan Falls YMCA.
Garry is survived by his daughter Paige Kueker of Sheboygan, grandchildren: Elizabeth Saunders, Christopher (Brianna) Saunders, Nicholas Kueker, Ashley Kueker and Cory Howard; sister Lori (Scott) Pierce, brothers Rod (Cindy) Phipps, Keith Phipps, David (Sheryl) Phipps and Rick (Rose) Phipps; sisters-in-law JoAn Burk, Ellen (David) Foster and Alex Endrizzi; brother-in-law Timothy Whorton; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife Paula, brothers-in-law Christopher Whorton and Carl Burk, sisters-in-law Chris Phipps and Mary (Allan) Hazelton.
A Memorial Service is being planned for spring. He will be laid to rest beside Paula at Oostburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Fischer House in Milwaukee.
