Gary Dean Baldwin

Gary "Roundman" Dean Baldwin, 71 years of age, of Grundy, VA, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Born August 25, 1954, he was the son of the late Harold Richard and Bertie Mullins Baldwin.
Gary was of the Christian faith and enjoyed watching westerns, playing cards and driving coal trucks. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters Karen Sue Daniels and Sharon Lynn Osborne.
Survivors include daughters Deena Baldwin of Bristol, TN, Tammy Nickels and husband Tim of Grundy, VA; son Gary Dean Baldwin, Jr. and wife Mekesha of Vansant, VA; sister Patricia Jackson and husband Ralph of Grundy, VA; brothers Dillard Mullins and wife Delsie of Grundy, VA, and Gregory Baldwin of Huntsville, AL; grandson Linden Baldwin and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Gary Dean Baldwin will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home, Grundy, VA with Reverend Matthew Daniels and Reverend Jerry Ward officiating.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, January 18 beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m.
