Zack Leon Mitchell

Zack Leon Mitchell, 76 years of age, of Jolo, WV, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at his residence. Born February 4, 1949, in Welch, WV, he was the son of the late Elbert and Nancy Belle Jewell Mitchell.
Zack enjoyed watching westerns, listening to old rock music, and was always drinking a good cup of coffee. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife Glenna Sue Mitchell; son Johnathan Charles Mitchell; sisters Christine Day, Sadie Kennedy, Pinkie Day; and brothers Hubert, Josh, Roby, Kenneth and Gilbert Mitchell.
Survivors include his wife Deborah Baldwin Mitchell of Jolo, WV; daughters Vicky Lynn Murdock of NC, Leann Mitchell of NC; sons Anthony Wayne Mitchell of Jolo, WV, Zack Leon Mitchell, Jr. of NC; stepdaughters Tammy Henderson of War, WV, Laura Ninneman of NC; stepson Henry Crockett of NC, and Roby Crockett of War, WV; sisters Sandra Kelly of IN, Frances Tucker of TX; brother Douglas Mitchell of NC; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Honoring Zack's wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no service.
