Gary Charles Banner

Gary C. Banner, peacefully passed away at home with his family on January 19, 2025. He is survived by his beloved wife Diane of 53 years, his precious daughters Andrea and Jill, and his favorite son-in-law Mike. He was the Best Papa in the world to granddaughters Avery, Abby, Celeste (Shawn) and Calista (Logan). He was also a proud Great-Grand Papa to Kelce. He loved all of his girls with his whole heart. He was pre-deceased by his loving parents, Ralph and Marie. Born in Detroit, MI in 1950 he was the fourth of 8 kids. Beloved brothers, Paul (Kathy), Mike (Tina), Dave (Ann), Jim (Suzie), Fred, Larry (Sarah), and favorite sister Beth (Danny). Loving Uncle and Great-Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Brother-in Law to Karen. He was a wonderful cousin and a best friend to so many. He was a proud veteran of the Army National Guard. His favorite place was on a golf course or watching sports. He loved to laugh more than anything and to spread love to everyone who knew him. He was always good for a joke, a hug or an intriguing story. He was an amazing man and one of a kind. He will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at his funeral to be distributed to his and his wife's favorite charities. Funeral service is February 1, 2025 at St. Hubert's Catholic Church, 38775 Prentiss St. Harrison Township, MI 48045 with visitation at 10:30 am with mass at 11:00am. Memorial luncheon to follow at Sycamore Hills Golf Course 48787 North Avenue Macomb, MI. 48042.
