Gary D. Barnett

Gary D. Barnett, 59, of Little Rock left us on Tuesday, February 21st, to be with Jesus. He was born on September 3rd, 1952 in Los Angeles, California. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War as a U.S. Marine. He fought an even harder battle against cancer for the past 2 ½ years. Gary was a kind, honest man with a passion for travel and finding solutions to life's hardest questions. He had a great pride in working as an electrical engineer for several large corporations in his lifetime. Surviving family members include his mother, Edna; sister Tyra; brothers Mike and Steve and a host of extended family and friends, who will miss him dearly. He never judged or uttered harsh words about anyone. Gary was truly a great man. Funeral services will be on Friday, February 24 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home with Brother Larry Ballard officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. at Forest Hills on Thursday, February 23, 10200 Hwy 5 North, Alexander, Arkansas 72002 (501)455-1067.
