Gary Martin Bedsole, age 62, of Vancleave, MS passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025.
Gary was born December 28, 1962 in New Orleans, LA, while his parents, Leon and Patricia Bedsole were students at The New Orleans Baptist Seminary. The family moved to Baton Rouge, to Enterprise, Alabama, to Pensacola, Florida, where Gary started his education in kindergarten and elementary school. The family made the big move in 1970 to First Baptist Church, Biloxi, where Gary continued his education in Popps Ferry Elementary, Fernwood Junior High, and Biloxi High School where he played football and sang in The Biloxians. He was active in many church activities at First Baptist Church, participating in Youth Trips and Youth Choir Trips and in One Way Singers. After graduating in 1981, he finished two years at Gulf Coast Community College, Gulf Coast, then on to University of Southern Miss, where he received his Bachelor of Business in Accounting.
He started his employment right away with Ernst & Young Accounting Firm in Jackson, then on to Texas, switching to Baker-Hughes Oil Services Corporation, reaching out to branches all over the world. Gary married Amy Firmin of Gulfport in 1989, blessing the whole family with Patricia (Trisha) Adelle in 1994, and Savannah Lee in 1998. After 25 years living in Houston, Lafayette, LA, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Venezuela, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and finally back to Houston, he came back to Biloxi. He used his accounting skills at local firms until his passing on August 25.
Gary is survived by his parents, Rev. Leon and Patricia (Pat) Bedsole of D’Iberville; daughters, Patricia and Savannah of Houston; one brother, Brian Scott of Arlington, TX; two nieces, Michaela and Isabella; and by his aunts and uncles and cousins in Alabama and Texas.
