Gary Lynn Biggs, age 75, of Tulare, California, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026.

Gary was born on July 30, 1950, in Visalia, California, to Leroy and Vera Biggs. He was raised in Visalia and attended Redwood High School. He continued his education at the College of the Sequoias and San Jose State University, earning his Bachelor's degree from California State University, Fresno in 1974. He later completed his Master's degree at California State University, Bakersfield in 1979.

Gary began his career in special education with the Tulare County Office of Education as a teacher on March 13, 1974. Over the course of 34 years, he served as a special education teacher, parent liaison, and later as a program manager, retiring on August 1, 2008. He also taught English at Porterville Junior College and mentored incoming special education teachers with the TCOE IMPACT Intern Program. Throughout his career, he was known for his strong work ethic and his commitment to supporting

students and their families.

On March 25, 1972, he married Karen Renee Wilbourn, with whom he shared a lifelong partnership and had three children: Eric Donovan, Courtney Lynnissa, and Ryan Trevor.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Vera Biggs; his sister, Sandra; and his son, Eric.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; his children, Courtney and Ryan; and his four grandchildren, Cerrick, Karina, Caden, and Isabele.

Gary will be remembered for his dedication to serving others and his love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
