Gary Bobo

Gary Bobo, age 75, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his wife and children.
He was born January 24, 1950, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was a pastor for Fellowship Baptist Church, Temperanceville Baptist Church, Fulton Baptist Church, and interim pastor at First Baptist Church in Dierks. He worked for Dierks Public Schools for 29 years as a business teacher, high school counselor, and high school principal. He enjoyed hunting, being outside with his grandchildren, his dog Coco, and his cat Gracie.
Mr. Bobo was preceded in death by his parents, Gus A. and Freeda Mae Loudermilk Bobo; one brother, Gene Bobo; mother and father-in-law, Dillard and Ila Hill; sister-in-law, Sandy Simmons; and brother-in-law, Michael Hill.
Mr. Bobo is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janet (Hill) Bobo; one son and daughter-in-law, James (JoAnna) Bobo of Dierks; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jana (Gene) Strode of Dierks, and Jennifer (Jason) Bishop of Texarkana, Arkansas; sister, Joyce (Richard) Cross of Mineola, Texas; sister-in-law, Madonna Hill of Dierks; sister-in-law, Cathy (Bruce) Francis of Amity, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Jeanne (Glenn) Davis of De Queen, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Yvonne Bobo of Fouke, AR; grandchildren, Dillon (Ramsey) Bobo, Payton Bobo, Lexi Oswald, Colton Strode, Colt (Brittany) Kuykendall, Caleigh Manning, Jacie Bishop, and Jaden Bishop; great-grandchildren, Aspen Bobo and Mayzie Kuykendall (due in June) and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Bobo will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2025, in the Burg Cemetery near Umpire with Bro. Scott Kitchens and Bro. John McAnally officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home Dierks.
The family will receive friends from 5:00.m.-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at the funeral home in Dierks.
