Gary Brown

Gary Clinton Brown, age 68, passed away at his residence on February 4, 2026. Gary was born to the late Clinton Brown and JoAnn Brown, who survives. He was a hardworking man who loved farming and driving semi trucks. Gary had a deep appreciation for music and enjoyed spending his time hunting and fishing. He also found great joy working in his garden and caring for his livestock He was a member of Wenona Baptist Church. Gary was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Jana Wilkerson. He is survived by his loving wife, Jean Brown of Cordele; his mother, JoAnn Brown of Cordele; his children, Bruce Brown (Tonya) of Cordele, Crystal Lawrence (Tyler) of Brunswick, and Colby Brown (Faith) of Cordele; his step-son, David Ethridge (Stevie) of Cordele; his brothers, Dennis Brown (Deborah) of Vienna and Alan Brown (Cathy) of Lily; and his sister, Debbie Nutt (Roger) of Vienna. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Allison Thompson, Haley Brownlee, Girris Brown, Conley Brown, Jackson Nipper, Lanier Lawrence, Caleb Wilkerson, Tyler Ethridge, and Kylie Ethridge. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Arabi Cemetery.
