Gary Causey, a beloved figure to all who knew him, passed away on September 11, 2024 at the age of 79. Born on May 12, 1945, in Ironton, Missouri, Gary lived a life marked by his adventurous spirit, unwavering love for his family, and hard-working nature.

Gary dedicated a significant portion of his career to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IB) Local 1 from which he retired in 2007. His commitment to his work was paralleled by his active participation in the community, particularly in his involvement with the Order of the Eastern Star, where he was recognized as Associate Patron and Worthy Patron of Tyro Chapter No. 321. He was also a respected member of Tyro Lodge No. 12 AF & AM, where he held various esteemed positions, including Worshipful Master, Senior Warden, and Treasurer. Gary was also a member of the Caledonia Methodist Church and a 1962 graduate of Valley Caledonia High School.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Donna Causey, who stood by him through thick and thin. His legacy lives on through his two daughters, Pamela Coxon and her husband Alan from Newcastle, England, and Angela Brooks of Saint Charles, Missouri. Gary also cherished the company of his sisters, Mollie Turner and her husband Donald of Saint Louis, Missouri, and Susan Lee Johnson and her husband Duane of Farmington, Missouri. He leaves behind his brother, Reginald Ray Causey, who resides in Tampa, Florida. The joy of his life can be seen in his grandchildren: Alexander Brooks, Samantha Brooks, and Logan Causey. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Dianne Strange, Janet Brooks, Cathy Brooks, and Anita (Jim) Dement, along with many other relatives and dear friends who will remember him fondly.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred (Bartlow) Causey and Stanley (Ray) Causey, and his son, Nathan Causey.

Gary Causey's memory will be forever cherished by his loved ones and all whose lives he touched with his kindness and zest for life. His adventurous spirit and unwavering support will remain in their hearts as they celebrate his remarkable journey.
