Gary Lee Chadwell

Gary Lee Chadwell, born on April 19, 1947, passed away at his son's home with his family by his side in Sallisaw, OK, on December 14, 2024. He lived a life filled with love, dedication, and hard work, leaving a lasting legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.

 Gary had a diverse career path that included positions at Shakespeare, Hilti in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Superior Wheel, Phipps Construction, and chicken houses, alongside his passion as a farmer until his retirement in 2008.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Gary found joy in the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping, especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Pauline Chadwell, a brother, Lilbern Chadwell, a sister, Oleta McCoy, and a grandchild, Jordan Harris. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his five children: Deanna Akin, Kayla Chadwell, Todd Chadwell, Cyndi Harris, and Justin Chadwell. Gary also leaves behind his sister, Juanita Davenport, along with a multitude of grandchildren: Sam Akin, Jessie Akin, Nathan Chadwell, Britini Davis, Brooklyn Watson, Gunner Harris, Ryleigh Harris, Kiah Harris, Connor Harris, Sara Chadwell, and Jerimiah Chadwell. In addition to his grandchildren, he is remembered fondly by a host of great-grandchildren, family, and friends.
