Gary, 66 years old died peacefully at his home in Wheaton Marylane under the care of hospice. Gary the son of the late Raymond David, Jr and Mary Evelyn Boarman Cleaver, grandson of the late Lillie Lohman Cleaver and Phillip Simms Boarman, Sr. Survived by his siblings, Diana, Steven, Wayne, and Craig and his wife Brittnay.

A 1978 graduate of Robert E. Peary High School. Gary worked in heating and air conditioner, first at the Ramada Inn in Bethesda, and later on at Walter Reed Medical Center and finishing his career at N.I.H. after 30 years of service. Gary's greatest joy was going to the cabin in West Virginia. The last seven years he called the cabin his cancer retreat. Gary loved the outdoors and loved his dogs, Zeke and Ghost.

Services at the Barber Funeral Home in Laytonsville on Monday, October 6th at 11.30am. Visitation 10:30am until time of the service. Rev. Jones will preside. Burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Aspen Hill.

Gary's beloved Uncle, James Robert Boarman died two months ago at the age of 100 years old. Mr. Boarman will be remembered at the service for Gary. Memorial gifts can be given to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
