Gary William Conant, born on February 18, 1951, in Trenton, passed away at the age of 74 on August 26, 2025, in Monroe.
Gary was a man of many talents and passions, who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was born in Trenton and later, graduated from Airport High School in June of 1969. Talented in sports, he earned a baseball scholarship to Eastern Michigan University and played for two years. His academic pursuits led him to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, where he graduated in October of 1974.
For 50 years, Gary dedicated himself to his chiropractic practice in Monroe, serving his community with commitment and care until his retirement in August of 2024. Beyond his professional life, Gary cherished his time boating on tranquil waters, engaging in landscaping and yard work, and enjoying the camaraderie of hunting.
Gary was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 48 years, Janice (Theisen) Conant, and his parents, Harry and Marjorie Conant. He leaves behind a loving family: his children Kevin (Kellee) Conant and Jamie (David Bollenberg) Conant; his cherished grandchildren Lauren, Lyndsay, Lia, Peyton, and Alec; and his dear sisters Judy (Ed) Blaser and Linda (Dennis) Warner.
In lieu of flowers anyone wishing to honor Gary's memory may make memorial contributions to the Airport High School Athletic Boosters, reflecting his lifelong connection to his alma mater and love of sports.
