Gary Lynn Davis, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on August 20, 1940, Gary dedicated his life to his family and faith, leaving a legacy of love and service that will endure in the hearts of all who knew him. Gary was an employee of McDonnell Douglas from 1963 to 1996, working in the aerospace industry.

Gary is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Davis, who stood by his side through the many chapters of their life together. He was a cherished father to two daughters, Laura (Scott) Seddon and Lynda Davis (Richard) Oliver. His legacy continues through his four grandchildren: Ryne (Nicole) Seddon, Daniel (Nicki) Seddon, Austin (Maressa) Oliver, and Andrew Oliver, and his four great-grandchildren: Ada Seddon, Jonah Seddon, Nicolas Oliver, and Rhett Seddon. Additionally, Gary leaves behind a host of other family members and friends who were touched by his kindness and generosity.

Preceding Gary in death are his father, E.H. Davis, his mother, Lucille Davis, and his son-in-law, Richard Oliver. Their memories are cherished and will remain forever in the hearts of his surviving family.

A devoted member of First Baptist Church St. Charles since 1963, Gary served the Lord with enthusiasm throughout his life. He held numerous roles within the church, including Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and Choir Member. His commitment to the church extended to serving as Chairman of the Building Committee for multiple First Baptist Church St. Charles locations, reflecting his deep devotion to his faith and community.

Gary’s passion for family and church was complemented by the joy he found in spending quality time with those he loved. He had a remarkable ability to bring warmth and laughter into the lives of others, making every moment shared together something to treasure.

A visitation to honor Gary’s life will be held on January 17, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM, both taking place at First Baptist Church St. Charles, located at 2701 Muegge Rd, St. Charles, MO 63303.
