Drue, I am so very sorry to hear of Gary's passing. He was a great medic, and an even better person. He will be sorely missed..

Gary you we're a good dude and a good medic . He was my partner on a double medic crew in the early 90's at Albuquerque Ambulance on graveyard shift . They always omit the negative in eulogies, but honestly Gary, in the years around you, I never heard a bad word about you. The last thing I remember on our last shift was you really looking forward to going down South to see your family . rest in peace brother.

Gary was a wonderful loving son who loved his family. He was our rock when his grandparents passed. He loved, and was loved and respected, working as a critical care paramedic. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a beautiful smile. Drue, Shaun, and Michelle were everything to him. My heart is broken and we will miss him for the rest of our days. RIP with the angels. Love you son.

We met Gary after he moved to Colorado. I will always think of him as being an incredibly kind, caring and compassionate man. We connected over our shared appreciation for emergency medicine and outdoor adventure. He always made time to help us give newly trained first responders the thrill of checking out a helicopter, along with a good education about safety. His hugs were wonderful and heartfelt. We will miss him and we send our love to Drue and Sean.

Gary I was always envious of the mustache even before you and ran the streets together. You reminded me of Kurt Russels portrayal of Wyatt Earp. With the envy came a great deal of admiration and respect. You guided me, mentored me, and respected me. Your compassion and respect you gave and received was well deserved. I truly appreciated all you did for me professionally but the personal impact on my life and career is what Ill forever carry in my mind and hear. Rest easy Gary. My heartfelt condolences to Drue.

I knew Gary as a dedicated and caring paramedic who took his commitment to patient care seriously, a partner you could depend on, a guy with a surprisingly sly wit, and a man of admirable integrity. He will be missed by many and I have no doubt that his example of caring and integrity lives on in the many people he has influenced over the years.

Best of the best, never one to shirk his duty, a friend indeed, man of his word, looked you in the eye when he spoke. Taught me about being patient and calm. Drue and Shaun I cant say Im sorry enough.

We loved Gary like a brother. He was so talented at so many things, and shared his gifts generously with others. He was an amazing chef, a great ski instructor, a highly skilled flight medic, a wonderful hiking companion, and an impressive trainer of all his rescue dogs. We will truly miss his warm smile, his big heart, and his bright light.
