Joyce Elaine Ablin, was born on April 19, 1952, in Denver, Colorado, and went to be with Jesus on July 12, 2025, in Longmont, Colorado.
She is lovingly survived by her nephews, Jim Dukes (Rene) and Aaron Dukes (Amy), and by her great-nieces and great-nephews: Amber, Avery, Isaac and Quintin. Joyce is now reunited in heaven with her beloved mother, Eloise, and her cherished sister, Margie.
Joyce had a long and successful career at StorageTec before following her heart into massage therapy. After completing training, she founded Thumb Print Massage, where she shared her gift of healing and compassion with many. Her work brought comfort and relief to countless clients until cancer made it too difficult for her to continue.
In the summer of 2015, Joyce experience what she called "an epiphany" and gave her life to Jesus Christ. Her faith became central to her life. She participated in Bible Study Fellowship in Longmont and later in online Bible studies, growing steadily in her relationship with the Lord. Her love for Jesus was radiant and sincere, touching everyone who knew her.
Joyce was known for her joyful presence, uplifting laugh, and generous spirit. She was deeply devoted to her family and friends, and could always be counted on to show up - with a smile and an open heart. She found joy in life's simple pleasures: good books, engaging stories, and meaningful conversations. She was an encourager, a listener, and a source of strength and grace to many.
A memorial open house will be held in her honor on July 27, 2025, from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at 1210 S. Coffman St., in Longmont, CO. All are welcome to stop by and celebrate Joyce's life. Please bring a printed memory to be added to a memorial book. If you're unable to attend but would like to contribute, please email a memory to [email protected] the subject: Memorial Book, by July 27.
Joyce's light, love, and laughter will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.
