Theodore James Ablin

Theodore James Ablin passed away at his daughter's home on 8-6-2022. He was surrounded by his loved ones at the time of his death.
Theodore leaves to cherish his memory, 7 children, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Larry (Barb) Ablin, Larry Jr. Linda Rietz, Lana (Ted) Schlichenmayer, Melody, Derrick, Leesa Ablin, Tim Ablin, Mark Ablin and Marsha (Rick) Zephier, Marcy, Joanna, Tasha, Aiden and Louie. His sister is Ruth Wood. He is also survived by in laws, nieces and nephews that he was very fond of.
Theodore was born on 9-21-1933 to Louis and Gena Ablin. He was drafted into the Army where he served 2 years and was stationed in Germany. He attended South Dakota State college for 1 year before returning to the farm and has farmed ever since with his son, Mark.
Theodore's favorite pastime was walking his empire, as his wife would say, and attending to farm chores but he did venture out to go camping at Scatterwood Lake, rocky mountain oyster feeds with the neighbors, yearly camping trips to the Black Hills, card clubs, snowmobiling to Tom's Point, and going to auction sales.
Ted was loved, cherished, admired and adored by his family and friends for his strength, wisdom, and hard work ethic.
He now has been reunited with his wife of 57 years.
