Gary Dale Dawkins

Gary Dale Dawkins passed away on 11 Feb 2025 in Helotes, Texas. He was born in West Plains, Missouri and grew up in Bridgeport, Texas. He is survived by his wife Connie and her children Cody and Jenna Jamison. Also, his daughter Sherry Kadair and husband Howard from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and his daughter Laura Range and her husband Clay, along with 2 beloved grandchildren Evan and Callia from Boston, Massachusetts. Gary was an only child and is preceded in death by his dearly loved parents Marcus D. and Ozelle Dawkins.

Gary excelled in so many things throughout his life. He was a patriot, a warrior, a scientist, a scholar, a math teacher and industry educator, a musician and a pilot. He was a US Air Force T-38 instructor pilot during Vietnam, a C-130 pilot in the AF Reserves, even a hot air balloon pilot and master diver. He was a business man, a deacon, a husband, father, grandfather, and a son, but most of all he was a child of God. Gary’s life was a blessing, and his memory is treasured, he is loved beyond words, and missed beyond all measures…

A graveside service will be held at the Bridgeport Cemetery on 10 Nov, 2025 at 10:30 am.
