Paradise ~ Melissa Dokey, 56, went to be with our Lord Sunday, October 19, 2025 in Frisco.
Graveside Service will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Megargel Cemetery in Megargel, Texas.
Melissa was born on February 25, 1969 to William Ernest and Carolyn Ruth (Noland) Phelps in Porterville, California. She spent many fulfilling years working as a server at the Original Pancake House in Plano, where she became known for her friendly demeanor and excellent customer service. During her time there, she expertly balanced taking orders, serving delicious meals, and building lasting relationships with regular customers, all while creating a welcoming atmosphere in the bustling restaurant. Melissa held her family close to her heart, finding immense joy in the little moments they shared together. Among them, her grandson was a source of endless love and delight. She adored watching him grow, sharing stories, laughter, and precious memories that she would treasure forever. Melissa was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Jordan Dokey and his fiancé Taylar Gallegos of Decatur; her grandson, Jakob Malachai Hall; her brother, Mike Phelps and his wife Sheila of Paradise; her sister, Michelle Phelps of Springtown; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
