Gary Decker

Gary Decker, 72, of Westminster, MD, passed away on December 15, 2025. Born June 13, 1953 in California, he was the son of the late John Otis Decker and Mildred Eloise Decker nee Disharoon. He was the devoted husband to his wife of 44 years, Becky Decker. He proudly served in the United States Army for 9 years before returning home to be with family. He was working as manager for the Carroll County Times when he retired. Gary was always the life of the party and wanted to make everyone laugh. He never met a stranger and always made friends in his travels. His greatest joy was in spending time with his family, whether it be date night with his wife, Becky, traveling the globe, or spoiling his grandchildren. As the cornerstone of the family, Gary made sure to bring the family all together with every party, vacation, and holiday. Surviving in addition to his wife, are daughters, Sunny Decker, Melissa Decker and partner Mitchell, and Brittany Decker; He was the beloved Pop Pop to, Scout, Cashion, Charli, Caleb, Lillianna, Pierce, Carter, Zoe, Delaney and Brody. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 91 Willis Street, Westminster (21157). A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025 with Pastor James Crocker officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
