Gary Edward Deel

Gary Edward Deel, 72, of Roanoke, VA, passed away on December 25, 2024. Born on March 23, 1952, in Richlands, VA, Gary was a man of great kindness, thoughtfulness, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends.
Gary retired from Wells Fargo Bank and was a faithful member of Vansant Church of Christ. Married for 55 wonderful years to his beloved wife, Beverly Estep Deel, he exemplified love and commitment. He was an avid NASCAR fan, cheering for Jeff Gordon and Chase Elliott, and had a deep passion for travel, exploring 43 states, 7 Canadian provinces, and 8 European countries. Gary's kind heart was evident to anyone in his presence, and he held a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Deel, and brother-in-law, Dick Stiltner.
Gary is survived by his parents, Henry and Ann Deel; his devoted wife, Beverly Estep Deel; his daughter, Samantha Ratliff (Jimmy, Jr.); his cherished grandchildren, Jimmy Edward Ratliff, III, and Chloe Stiltner (Christian); and his precious great-grandchildren, Virginia, Silas, Charles, and Samuel. He also leaves behind his siblings, Liz Deel and Joel Deel, as well as special friends Danny and Linda Church, Terry and Cheryl Ratliff, and Adam and Angela Stiltner.
A celebration of Gary's life will be held at a later date.
