Gary Lee Deems, age 72 of Butler, Missouri died Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at his home. He was born April 21, 1951 to Lelan Clyde and Gloria Yvonne Ellis Deems in Butler, Missouri.
Gary, one of three children, lived his entire life in Butler where he was a 1969 graduate of Butler High School. He attended Missouri Southern State College in Joplin, Missouri. Gary worked at Ford Claycomo Plant and then became a salesman at Deems Equipment in Butler. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Butler.
Gary was caring, simple and would do anything for anyone. He loved cars, trucks, going to the Lake of Ozarks, visiting with others and spending time with his son and grandchildren.
Gary is survived by a son, Dillon Deems of Raytown, Missouri; two grandchildren, Ava and Ethan Deems; and a sister, Gayl Bartimus and husband Gary of Lee's Summit, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Glynda Deems.
