Gary Dolieslager, age 56 of Sioux Center, Iowa passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
A memorial service will take place at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, September 23rd at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center.
Memorials may be directed to the Sioux County Conservation department.
Gary Allen Dolieslager was born May 1, 1969. His parents, Gerald and Alwena (Van Dyke) Dolieslager welcomed him and his sister Carol into their family and made their home in Sioux Center, Iowa. In his younger years he worked at Auto Dine and DJ’d at the skating rink. He graduated from Unity Christian High School in 1987.
Gary lived his entire life in Sioux Center and was blessed with two children. He was united into marriage to Teri Timmer on December 19, 2006 in Orange City, Iowa. His family grew by adding three step children.
Gary worked in manufacturing for many years, and the last 15 years were spent at the COOP Feed Mill. He enjoyed Iowa Hawkeye Basketball and was a Christmas fanatic, from the decorations to the Christmas shopping, he loved Christmas! Gary and Teri spent a lot of time fishing, enjoying the country drives looking for wildlife, and being in nature.
A recent adventure began 5 years ago when Gary found his biological family. He went on a road trip to meet his biological father and mother from New Mexico to Nevada. He had recently connected with some of his biological siblings, cousins, and extended family.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Teri; children, Levi (Alicia) Dolieslager of Des Moines, IA and Jacob (Kendra) Dolieslager of Perry, IA; step children, Amanda (Bryan) Turner of Hudson, SD, Tyler (Melissa) Majerus of Middleburg, IA, and Ryan Majerus of Sioux Center, IA; grandchildren, Weston, Wyatt, Ellie, Gavin, Colton, Jasper, Teighlor, Kayleigh, Breighden, Jeighcob, Meighson, Wyatt, Dylan, and Kaylee; great grandchild, Everleigh; sister, Carol (Bryan) Vande Stouwe of Hull, IA; biological siblings, Chaylee Kuntz, Chera Lee, Jasin Cook, Zach Seager, and Kyle Hudson; along with extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Alwena Dolieslager and in-laws, Jack and Marlene Timmer.
