Gary Dean Ducker, 66, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at his residence.
A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Burgin Ducker, Jr. and Hazel Lee Lunsford Ducker. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Rita Davis Ducker; grandchildren: Charlotte Grace Ducker, Lucas Ducker, Zion Ducker; and sister, Gail Garland.
Gary graduated from Erwin High School and was a truck driver for Snyder Paper Corporation for many years until his retirement in May 2023. Gary had a love of serving his community as a Little League Baseball Coach. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, and was an avid golfer, and NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed spending his Friday evenings with his friends at VFW Post 891.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Gary “Brandon” Ducker; grandchildren: Josiah Driver Ducker, and Samuel R. Ducker; siblings: Dale Ducker and wife Becky, Johnny Ducker, Angie Weaver and husband Chuck, and Tommy Ducker and wife Deborah; brother-in-law, John Garland; ex-wife, Sandi Rice; and many nieces, nephews, special cousins, extended family and friends.
A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Victory Baptist Church, 80 Olivette Rd, Asheville, NC 28804, with Rev. Dr. Ronnie Owen officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to your favorite church, charity, or organization.
