Gary Edwards Obituary
Gary worked his way through college as a mail clerk and after college as a mail carrier for USPS for a few years. In his mid-30's he started a real estate development business and developed several large land tracts in Hebron, Marlborough, and East Hampton. He also bought and renovated homes before flipping became an everyday occurrence, as seen on TV now. From 2006-2018, he became an owner/franchisee of Servpro of Middletown. Gary was well known for being a fair and kind boss. He was quite handicapped after a stroke in 2010, but kept the business going and was always striving to keep himself as mobile as possible.
After his retirement in 2018, he enjoyed his home (never was much of a traveler), loved to read, spend time with his wife and family, and particularly enjoyed his association with the Knights of Columbus in Manchester, Chapter #1155. He also was a big fan of the LSU Tigers.
He leaves his loving wife and best friend of 44 years Rozann Venti, MD; his nephew Shane Waldron and his niece Jennifer Waldron, both of whom he considered his children; his good friends Hawa Koroma, Alfred Conroy; his "adopted daughter" Sheila Bilica; and all of his Knights of Columbus buddies, especially Joe, Charlie and Justin. He also leaves his brother Kyle Haven, nephews Kris and Brandon Waldron, and several cousins.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Claudio Milite and his staff for all their help the past few years. There are many other medical providers to thank, including Dr. Katie O'Connor, Dr. Mamta Singh and Dr. Stephen Milewski.
Family and friends may call on the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St., in Manchester on Tuesday, March 14th, 2023, from 8:30 -10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of the Assumption, 27 Adams St. South, in Manchester at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Dearest thoughts to Rozann and Jenny, I was hired by Gary to work with him at the newly formed Servpro Of Middletown. So he was at first my boss, but soon to be my friend, he created a close knit Servpro Family I was honored to be a member of. Gary was the nicest person and I was so lucky to have met him. If more people were like Gary this would be a much better world.
