Gary Dale Elder, age 61, a resident of Mobile, Alabama, was born on October 28, 1963, and entered into the gates of Heaven on September 24, 2025.
Gary was a proud graduate of Mary G. Montgomery High School. He went on to pursue a career in management and completed an apprenticeship in mechanical engineering. A short time later, he met the love of his life, with whom he shared three beautiful daughters.
In his spare time, Gary enjoyed helping family and friends work on their vehicles, always aiming to keep them in top-tier shape. He loved fishing, spending time with family, and while Saturdays were dedicated to Alabama football, nothing compared to relaxing on the back porch with a cold one in hand, jamming out to Free Bird or Sweet Home Alabama by his favorite band, Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Above all, Gary believed nothing was more important than family and a full belly. He was a simple man who believed that love was all you needed - and oh, how he loved his girls and precious grandchildren, who will miss him dearly.
Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Birty Nell Elder; father, Horace Elder; loving sister, Janice Marie Denson; brothers, Michael Elder and Randy Elder; and nephew, Scott Anderson.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Amanda Elder White, Katie Elder Cross, and Courtney Elder; his cherished grandchildren, Halle Comeaux, Nora Elder, and Beckham White; and his last remaining sibling, Shelby Pate, along with many other relatives and friends.
Gary's Celebration of Life will be held on November 1st, 2025, at 2 P.M.; at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior to the service on November 1st, 2025, from 1:30 P.M. to 2 P.M., at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
